I was a candidate for the HOA Board of my community.
I spent most of my free time working to get the word out to the community that I was running and my positions on issues.

At the first election we did not meet quorum so I called for an adjournment to get more votes. Unfortunately I did not do it as a motion with specific instructions to the current board. They
did not understand I was following the bylaws and statute and a little RONR.
The current HOA Board did not have an awareness of the power the members have at the annual general meeting
We set the date and the current board did all they could to obstruct the meeting.
We put up signs at the entrances, the board refused, handed out information on how to vote, the board cried unsafe liability issues.
In the end we did met quorum and 5 new members were elected
