By County Updates
Baker (unaffiliated): Nothing matured since last communication with registered LPF member looking to potentially add an affiliate. Will reach out to individual again to re-engage in conversation.
Clay (affiliated): Clay County represents one of two affiliated counties within Region 5. They held an August meeting and social on Tuesday, August 31st.
Duval (affiliated): Held their usually monthly meeting and social and also organized an “End the Damn Wars” protest on September 11th held in downtown Jacksonville. In late August over a dozen members picked up trash and cleaned Riverside Park while also gaining signatures for their 3 candidates running for local election in 2023. Duval County Chair DL Cummings actually held all three candidates for an interview on his recent podcast.
Nassau (unaffiliated): No new updates.
St. Johns (unaffiliated): Canceled the previously scheduled social gathering due to lack of availability of those who have expressed interest online. Looking to schedule something in the coming weeks as there is traction in the county.
Region Rep Updates
I attended the General Membership call in this cycle.
Future Goals
Compile list of registered and active LPF voters in unaffiliated counties to reach out to regarding potential affiliate startups.
Work towards affiliating the three unaffiliated counties by forging relationships with existing Libertarians by finding events to support LPF messaging.
