May 2022 Region 1 Report
Region-Wide:
Due to personal and medical issues, my regional participation has been minimal over the last few weeks and will remain that way for a few weeks yet. My speaking ability is a bit limited for the moment so my participation in any meeting isn’t going to amount to anything more than yea or nay. Luckily, Region 1 has two strong affiliates who need no adult supervision and are building up themselves to do wonderful things.
Prior to all this, we had an individual who was interested in running for Matt Gaetz’s seat and had reached out to us via the LPF. As his office would encompass the entirety of Region 1, I reached out via e-mail to see if he’d be interested in a town hall comprised of Region 1 Libertarians. I’ve not gotten a reply.

Escambia:
Last meeting was conducted @ Goat Lips Brew and Chew on April 18 with full EC and some local attendance. There’s an emphasis currently on local government engagement with the executive committee actively investigating avenues of participation.
LPEC is looking into getting their own highway cleanup program started with the possibility of handing out flyers at those events.
Currently, the LPEC page is on Day 60+ of a 30 Day restriction period and all conventional attempts to resolve this with Facebook have been met with silence. We’re actively trying to build content on our webpage to support event announcements and direct participation
Their next executive committee meeting is scheduled for May 22 7pm @ Spahr Brewery.

Santa Rosa:
Santa Rosa’s last executive meeting was conducted April 15 @ the Vine Wine Bar in Navarre. There’s an emphasis on local involvement as the affiliate has been strongly involved in the City of Milton politics, the Stop Red Light Cameras effort, 2nd Amendment resolutions at the county level, and the Recall Florida effort.
LPSRC had their quarterly roadside cleanup on May 15th with a social gathering following at Stripes Pub & Grille in Navarre.
LP SRC has been actively incorporating their webpage in events but is also working on a redesign of their site as well.

Okaloosa County:
Due to my current limitations, no new efforts have been made toward re-affiliation. Nothing new to report as a result.

Walton County:
Walton County is currently not affiliated at this time. No current plans have been established to change this.

Respectfully
