Duties

LPF Constitution
ARTICLE III Officers and Executive Committee
Section 4. Duties
D. The Treasurer shall be custodian of all funds, receiving and disposing of the funds at the discretion of the Executive Committee and subject to the Standing Rules. The Treasurer shall keep the deputy treasurer appraised in all aspects of the position to act in his or her absence or incapacity and may delegate responsibilities thereto. In so much as there is personal liability to the governing bodies, any time the deputy Treasurer acts on behalf of the Treasurer they shall be considered ‘acting treasurer’ and subject to the bookkeeping standards of the organization and state and federal Bureaus that govern the party.

Kept Audit Committee fully informed of activities
Created spreadsheet of all Donors with addresses and occupations and kept updated for ease of DOE filing
Created spreadsheet of all Vendors with addresses and kept updated for ease of DOE filing
Reconciled 2020 and 2021 YTD monthly statements
Prepared and got approved 2021 LPF budget
Worked with approved auditing firm on required annual audit (Compilation Report)
Filed Annual Compilation Report with Florida Division of Elections
Filed Annual Corporate Report with FL Secretary of State
Filed Federal Election Commission monthly reports
Filed Florida Division of Elections quarterly reports
Reported account activity to EC monthly, both written and oral
Requested and received invoices for expenditures.
Paid all budgeted and approved invoices and requests for reimbursements
Assisted various donors with requests regarding recurring donations and necessary event cancellations.
Interviewed and currently on-boarding Deputy Treasurer, Patrick Leistner
    Provided access to accounts as necessary
    Assigned project to plan and report how to integrate PayPal account into Quickbooks
    Upon satisfactory report, issued approval to make appropriate entries in Quickbooks
    Assigned project to investigate possibility of automating donation and expense detail for
Florida Division of Elections filing. Response provided that no satisfactory means yet
available that provides total automation without considerable additional inputs. We are
still exploring possibilities.
Updated Treasurer’s Guide for secession purposes.
Assisted IT Director, Tony Sellers, with Stripe access for integration with LP Civi CRM
Assisted Fundraising Chair, Celicia Slafter, with access to Stripe and approved access with IT Director for Fundraising Chair to Civi CRM after receiving verification of signed NDA.
