The 2021-2022 LPF Platform Committee:
Chris Rose II, Chairman

The committee was appointed by the LPF Chairman and confirmed by the LPF Executive Committee in June of last year. I officially convened the committee the next month, in July, once public notice of our meeting format was posted on the party website. Immediately that month, I began pushing the members of the committee to join with me in deliberating revisions to the current platform. I kept up this pace, along with the members of my committee, through November when the holiday season came upon us. Because we were able to work diligently throughout those months, the committee was effectively able to retire deliberations at Thanksgiving, yielding no need for pestering committee members during their vacationing and time with family.
As promised by me, reports of our progress from month-to-month have been timely posted on these forums and the LPF EC has therefore been kept advised throughout our term. Please be aware that the link which I have previously included in my reports is now outdated; I will direct you instead to the LPF docs site.
With the aid of Communications Committee Chairman J. Mark Barfield, the committee has two documents published on the website for next month's Annual Business Meeting, both beating the threshold for timely public notice. One is a markup document showing the strike-through and underline format; a second document shows our recommended platform in a clean copy which is how the final rendition would look should our proposed changes be accepted and approved by the delegates.
It has been my honor this past year to chair this committee. I again extend my humble gratitude to Chairman Nekhaila for his appointment of myself and my members, and to the EC for their confirmation. I believe we have delivered on our responsibilities and exceeded expectations. I wish all LPF committees were run as expediently and efficiently as this one has operated this past term.
