My DAL2 report references the 2022 fundraising committee report, the 2023 Candidates Committee Action Plan and Fundraising Committee Action Plan (including their respective 2022 Vision Deck goals).
I have assisted the Robert Klimkowski campaign for Brevard County Commission with their campaign setup (website coming soon, issues analysis, graphic design and planning). I have similarly provided advice to the Broward County affiliate for their 2022 candidates program (they are sponsoring a member to run for School Board). There is a Blockchain Meetup and Social that I am hosting in Miami Beach on Friday, April 8th at 8pm at the Abbey Brewing Co. to invite attendees of the Bitcoin Conference held at the nearby Miami Beach convention center.
I have also been appointed as 2023 LPF Candidate Committee chair. See the attached action plan for the Candidates Committee for more information.
I noticed that we still do not have a chair for the Fundraising Committee. Since this is a vital committee that needs to continue its work, I offer myself the temporary chair until a suitable replacement is recruited. I served as the previous fundraising chair and have a written an action plan accordingly. The final fundraising committee report includes a proposed development plan, a sample budget and designs created by the now Communications Chair for the e-store that was developed as part of the fundraising committee work. There is also an unfinished task that I would like the EC to authorize an expense or in this case reimbursement which involves mailing the 2022 Top Donors and Volunteers their respective perks and certificate of appreciations. The chair has requested I write this request in the form of motion. The total expense is not to exceed $225. See the attached motion for the breakdown and details (I also sent the motion in a separate email).
I have a separate reimbursement request for the cost of printing these certificates that was included the Fundraising Committee budget. I present the receipt for $79.69.
Lastly, my single most important promise to convention delegates in becoming DAL2 was to advocate for a LPF annual budgeting. The LNC does have an annual budget separated by category of expense that includes a monthly budget backstop or pre-authorized expense. With such a budget process in place, the need for the EC to authorize these expenses becomes unnecessary and makes the monthly reports more important since it involves real expenses. Please see the attached LNC monthly report and how they keep track of their budgets. Compare with the attached LPF February to February statement of activity report from Quickbooks.
