Region 14 report - May 15, 2022

Region 14 comprises Miami-Dade (affiliated) and Monroe (unaffiliated) counties.

Using latest available (March 31, 2022) voter registration numbers:

Miami-Dade County
2022/03/31 LPF 2,244 of 1,587,230 electors (net -15)
2022/02/28 LPF 2,259 of 1,589,626 electors
Compared to 2,259 on 2/28, this represents a 0.07% decrease.

Monroe County
LPF voter data:
2022/03/31 257 of 64,338 electors (net +3)
2022/02/28 254 of 63,787 electors

Compared to 254 on 2/28, this represents a 1.2% increase.

Activities:

Continued to serve as Chairman of the Miami-Dade affiliate (LPMD).
Received contact in county relayed by LPF Chairman.  The contact has already attended LPMD meetings.
Participated in the transfer of authority over the affiliate bank account from the previous treasurer to the current one.
Attended Fundraiser for Dennis Misigoy for US Senate on May 10, 2022.  Attendance was good, comprising LP Miami-Dade EC members, some new faces, and some old ones.
Presided over the LPMD meeting on May 10, 2022.  Attendance was robust, but down from the previous month.
Working this weekend to complete the transfer of officer email accounts to the new officers, and social media control to members of its new communications committee.

Mr. Nekhaila continues to take point on the affiliation of Monroe County as a revival of the Libertarian Party of the Florida Keys.  While we missed the goal of submitting the paperwork for this LPF EC meeting, we hope to see it submitted in the very near future.  I remain available and eager to support his efforts, and the expansion of the county affiliate in any way practicable.
