Aug/Sept 2022 Development Director Report
The last 30 days or so was primarily focused on the 3 fundraisers we hosted in the Panhandle. We had good and we raised a moderate amount of money, covering our costs but not a lot of profit. Region Rep Patrick Leistner was an immense help in hosting these events. The highlight event was truly the FSU tailgate, we had at least 50 students come as well as Professor Sam Staley, Director, DeVoe L. Moore Center who was thrilled to see the LPF at the campus. We are well situated to start building a more formal relationship with this particular group.I would love to see someone begin building out a college libertarian program around the entire state, it is an untapped market for us that we can start building with the FSU crew.
I have been working on getting websites up for the 3 donation pages we approved over the last couple months. I have been unsuccessful in this effort but in constant contact with the Chair and VC regarding hangups and hope to have them resolved soon.
In general I have been working on
-promotion of the LPF@25 club,
-writing press releases for projects,
-reaching out to folks that responded to the surveys we sent out a fews months ago and asking for donations/volunteers.
-planning spike event for next spring
-written fundraising appeals
-tons communication with different departments and volunteers. I am working to utilize the existing infrastructure the LPF has which helps expose our areas of need and helps work more effectively overall as an organization.
-I have been helping resolve a payment issue with JO Jorgensen that was uncovered when I reached out to her for some collaboration.
-Took in donation items for auctions to be used at later events. Received a commitment for a donation from Playboy Model JessicaVaugn who is famous for her assets, both body and bitcoin. This could be a great connection for the party to have.
Note-
In the first week of October I will be traveling across the country in a uhaul and will be most unavailable for 7 days and understand I will not be paid for hours not worked. I will be available for simple communication and in good faith I will do that off the clock as needed.
