Region 1 rep report
1. Attended LPF general membership meeting and LPF EC meeting on Aug. 18th

3. I reached out to a couple of non-profits to see if they would want a booth at the Vibefest.
4. Prepared a motion for approval from the LPF EC of a Sponsorship for the Vibefest
5. Made a request to the communications committee for a press release about the Vibefest to be released through Agility PR
6. Spoke to Marc Golab about the Fundraising committee. I plan on sitting in on a couple of meetings to see if it is a good fit for me.

Escambia
1. I attended the 08/24 business meeting. LPEC had 7 people in attendance. We discussed their plans for the parade float, participation in the Project HPF Vibe fest, and the upcoming UWF tailgate event details. LPEC scheduled a parade float workday for 09/27 and their business meeting for 09/28.
2. I attended the 08/29 UWF Tailgate event. I made Jello shots and had some more of the door hangers with the Libertarian quiz printed. Roman, Sec. and Treas., and I set up the tent. I posted pictures on social media. Tailgate was fun. Robert, Chair, had LPEC koozies made that we got to hand out as well. Robert and Roman walked the student area talking to people. Anne, VC, and Aaron did a great job grilling and manning the tent. Pictures posted on LPF Region 1 Discord channel.
3. I am in the process of setting a meeting up with Robert V. and Lamar, social director, to show them Nation Builder.
4. I attended the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build on 09/13. I plan on writing an article on the experience and submitting for Agility PR.
5. Called and emailed a new Libertarian contact that was sent through Nationbuilder, Carrie Grim. She has promised to come to the next LPEC meeting.

1. I reached out to a lead, Mr. Patrick Leisner, for contacts that might be interested in being on the EC for affiliation. Mr. Leisner messaged me back he has a list he will share with me. I had an affiliation email blast sent out. One person reached out to me, Tanya Aimanovich. I set up an initial affiliation meeting for 09/17, 6pm, at the Waffle House in Defuniak Springs. Mr. Leisner sent me his list of contacts and posted the affiliation meeting notice on Facebook for me. I will cold call Libertarians in Walton county this weekend to personally invite them out to the affiliation meeting.
2. From cold calling and emailing Walton county Libertarians, I received another confirmation of someone that wants to be involved, Tommie Gipson.
3. Tommie and Tanya are motivated and available to affiliate the county. They both want to be on the EC. I will be cold calling and emailing Walton county Libertarians over the next 2 weeks to get a third and hopefully a fourth for the EC to affiliate Walton county.

Region 7 / 2025 August LPF Region 7 Report
« Last post by Region7 on August 17, 2025, 06:44:40 PM »
Contacted registered Volusia Libertarian voters who show registered in past year. No responses. Attended Volusia LP social event meet up called "Milkshake Monday" on August 11th. New person showed up who I invited via email. They now follow Volusia LP facebook page. Volusia LP will have a table at the Family Days weekend event October 11th & 12th in Port Orange. If you want to stop by or volunteer, please reach out to myself or Volusia LP for further details. Volusia LP next regular meeting is October 9th, 2025 at 7pm via Zoom.

Matt Johnson was appointed to his municipal Planning & Land Development Regulation Commission. There will be a Operation First Step Incentive motion this LPF meeting regarding that for Volusia LP. Myself, Matt, Jim Turney and Paul Diaz have all been recently promoting municipal government board appointments. Reach out to myself or one of the others if you are interested in pursuing a similar local board appointment.

Libertarian Governor candidate Scott Jewett is currently filed for 2026.

Libertarian U.S. House candidate for District 6 Andrew Parrott has filed for 2026 election cycle. Congressional District 6 covers most of Region 7.

I will be making efforts to continue to have Region 7 well represented with LPF candidates.

I plan on reaching out to newly registered Libertarians in Region 7 with "Welcome Wagon" in mind. Volusia being the only currently affiliated county in Region 7, I do plan on trying to grow membership to higher levels to strengthen the affiliate. Flagler is a distant 2nd in population and has not been affiliated in at least several years that I'm aware, if ever. Several previous Region 7 Representatives have made valiant efforts to do so. I will make efforts on the shoulders of my predecessors. Putnam County has also not been affiliated to my knowledge. I understand it will be challenge to do so.

Convention / August 2025 Convention Committee Report

We're still negotiating with the venue to be sure we aren't overcharged for issues that may have arisen and to be sure that we're getting the absolute best deal possible.  We're currently working on the 2026 Convention, and looking at potential venues in the Tampa area and expect convention to be somewhere around the end of February or the beginning of March.  This is so that we can elect delegates for the 2026 LNC convention to give them plenty of time to prepare to attend in Grand Rapids, MI.  The Theme Contest for convention is live again, be sure to submit your theme suggestions at https://www.lpfcon.org/theme_contest.  Lastly, we still have some leftover merch from this years convention, so if you didn't get a tshirt and would like some, these are for sale at a discounted rate, email convention@lpf.org.

Chair / August 2025 Chair Report

This month I will have hosted the General Membership Meeting and the Executive Committee Meeting this week; along with the Committee Chairs and Officers Meeting next week.  I've been working on the fine appeal with the State, and have a hearing Tuesday to present our case.  I've been in contact with Ken Moellman, who is in charge of the LP Email accounts.  The LNC had been subsidizing this cost for affiliates, but that is no longer the case.  There will be a motion on the agenda to take over this cost, and I strongly advise it so as to avoid any interruptions in regular business.
