LPF Secretary Report for March-April

Meetings Attended: 

• Membership Committee
• LPF EC Meeting
• Communications Committee
• Rules Committee
• Attended LPF Spring Bash, arranged by the Fundraising Committee
• Attended LPPBC Happy Hour

 

Officer Duties: 

• Taking meeting minutes
• Sending out agendas for regular meetings
• NationBuilder maintenance and updates
• County Reaffiliation & extension where needed
• Social media updates for LPF and LPPBC

 

Actions Taken: 

• Maintaining Membership Records: Cleared the NationBuilder duplicates queue and imported new voter data
• Reaffiliation period: Continued working through getting counties reaffiliated for this year
• Spring Bash fundraiser: Contributed to planning, promotion, and event logistics
• Communications: Penned an article about a composting business shutdown by SWA, picked up by several publications

 

Communication and Engagement: 

• Various emails and meeting participation
• Lots of back-and-forth emails with those that are reaffiliating, including checking for compliance with bylaws like meeting notices and secretary minutes
• Offered reaffiliation assistance calls as needed
• Ran a NationBuilder Training with Santa Rosa county
• Supported affiliates with NationBuilder emails targeting local audiences for events

 

Challenges or Issues: 

• Reaffiliation remains a heavy lift; several counties still need to finalize their requirements
• We need additional help from Region Reps for those counties that have not yet completed their reaffiliations.

 

Other Contributions: 

• Prepping for LPF’s Annual Business Meeting (ABM) in June: started drafting the agenda
• Continued collaboration with Communications Committee to update social media for LPF and LPPBC
• Helped affiliates use NationBuilder targeting to boost attendance and visibility for events

 

Goals for Next Month: 

• Wrap up final stages of county reaffiliation
• Finalize the agenda for LPF’s ABM in June
• Convention credentialing preparation
• Import March voter data when available
• Continue strengthening affiliate communications through NationBuilder and social media
