My primary activities for the preceding month have been to get up to speed with circumstances in Region 11.
This region has one active affiliate, that being St. Lucie County, and three unaffiliated counties, those being Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee.
I've introduced myself to the chair of St. Lucie, discussed the status of the affiliate, and plan to attend their next meeting to introduce myself in person to the membership.
I've gained access as an admin to the Facebook pages for Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee. I had to create a Facebook account for myself, as it has been several years since I was present there, and am familiarizing myself with the platform in order to utilize it as a means of outreach and establishing leads.
I've consulted with the previous representative as well as gained access to his materials related to the region and have been reviewing them.
The prior representative was very near to affiliating Martin County, and I have been working to finish this task. I was able to establish contact with two of the people who had previously expressed interest, as well as new contacts, so I believe we are indeed very close to accomplishing this. I'm currently coordinating schedules for all parties to have an in person meeting, tentatively scheduled for early November, and pending a successful outcome I hope to be able to affiliate Martin County in the near future. One of the parties has expressed interest in visiting other affiliates to see how they operate, I've arranged for him to visit my local affiliate here in Broward as there is an event that coincides with his presence here, and also hope to have him in attendance at St. Lucie's next meeting.
In Indian River there has been no activity.
In Okeechobee there has been no activity.
My intention is to complete the process of affiliating Martin County, provide ongoing support to St. Lucie & Martin, and then determine between Indian River & Okeechobee as the next target for affiliation.
Outside of my Region 11 activities, I've attended one party outreach event, two party social events, and my local EC meeting.
