Region 14 report - October 2021
Using September 2021 voter registration numbers:
Miami-Dade County LPF 2,253 from 2,248 (net +5). Compared to 2,161 in July this represents a 4.25% increase.
Munroe County LPF 249 from 247 (net +2). Compared to 217 in July this represents a 14.75% increase.
Activities:
Attended Miami-Dade affiliate meeting on Oct. 12th. Reported on LPF business and upcoming EC meeting information.
The Miami-Dade affiliate is hosting a social gathering at the Mylos Bistro & Bar 1111 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Coral Gables on Friday, October 22, 2021 with Miami-Dade Commission Candidate Martha Bueno, J Mark Barfield representing Rank Choice Voting Florida and Luis Valdes the Florida Director of the Gun Owners of America. All are invited to attend. Flyer attached.
Attempting to build a relationship with Munroe County affiliate EC has proven difficult. The affiliate has been "sleepy." I have requested permission to set up a social gathering of members in the county which was approved by their chair.
There have been no leads generated from LPF/LNC websites this month.
Following the report prepared and submitted to this board last month reviewing about LNC Region 2 Representative Steven Nekhaila's vote in the most recent LNC on a controversial motion to remove the secretary, a resolution was prepared in defense of voting rights of the region that were seemingly violated by the LNC chair in allowing David Sexton to vote. However, upon the request of the region representatives wishes to not upset the political balance in the region and cause unnecessary turmoil on the LNC executive committee, the resolution was set aside.
