LPF Constitution
Art. III, Section 2. The Executive Committee shall be composed of the Officers, three (3) Directors-at-Large, one (1) Regional Representative for each region elected at the Annual Business Meeting within the provision of the By-Laws. The powers and duties of the Executive
Committee shall be prescribed in the Bylaws and Standing Rules, to provide the control and
management of all the affairs, properties, and funds of the LPF consistent with this
Constitution. Deficit spending shall be prohibited.

Art. III, Section 3. Executive Committee
Election of Executive Committee Officers. The Chair, Vice-Chair and odd numbered
Directors-at-large shall be elected in odd numbered years or in the case of a vacancy.
The Secretary, Treasurer, and even numbered Directors-at-large shall be elected in
even numbered years or in the case of a vacancy. Regional Representatives shall be
elected at each Annual Business Meeting. These Executive Committee members
shall take office upon the close of the Annual Business Meeting and serve thereafter
until the final adjournment of the Annual Business Meeting at which their terms
expire. Each LPF region may select up to two (2) Alternate Regional Representatives.
The first alternate selected shall be the higher ranked of the two alternate(s).

Duties and Functions
The duties of the position are not specifically defined in the governing documents, but are understood to include what one would expect from any corporation Director. The Directors should be knowledgeable about the organization as a whole, how it functions, its rules, applicable state and federal laws, where to find answers to questions, who to ask, and when necessary things must be done. The director is expected to serve on the LPF Audit Committee, review the Treasurer’s work for accuracy and timelines, review and make recommendations regarding proposed contracts for major expenditures. In addition, the Directors are expected to assist the LPF Chair, LPF EC and affiliates throughout the state. The end goal is to make the operation of the organization as effective as possible, while maintaining compliance both internally and externally.


Tasks Completed
Wrapped up Treasurer functions, handed off position to new Treasurer, Patrick Leistner.
Handed off laptop and all assets held by Treasurer
Conducted training for new Treasurer.
Provided access to software, guide, folders and documents for Treasurer
Assisted thereafter as needed.
Provided access to Affiliate Support Committee document folder for incoming Chair, James Daniels.
Prepared a revised document to existing affiliation guide to expand on SOE expectations and requirements, and submitted to Affiliate Support Committee Chair.
Served as Chair of Audit Committee, Vice-Chair of Membership Committee, and served on Communications Committee.
Provided access to my Membership Committee folder to incoming Membership Chair.
Entered all new membership requests (512 since Jan 1 2021) and assisted the IT Director with cleaning up records in CRM (thousands of contact records updated).
Researched facts and made recommendations regarding several legal concerns.
Served as Secretary of the LP Miami-Dade affiliate.
Helped plan social event with speakers.
Sent re-affiliation paperwork to county SOE and LPF Secretary
Served as Chair of affiliate Rules Committee
Proposed constitutional revision, unanimously approved in Committee
Helped plan 2022 affiliate annual business meeting.
Attended events at Broward County affiliate.
Reviewed and made recommendations on several proposed contracts for convention contracts and expenditures.
Reviewed and made recommendations on fundraising independent contractor proposal.
Reviewed and made recommendations regarding performance and time report of independent contractor.
Drafted response templates to email new LPF member applicants
New Member,
Renewing Member,
FL Voter But Not LPF Registered,
Unable to Locate a Current FL Voter ID.
Tested and refined new member applicant texts.
Got approved by Membership Committee.
Requested Communications Committee to prepare as templates in CRM database system.
Sent out appropriate email to applicants.
Handled all responses to the notices.
Assisted affiliates and Regional Representatives with organizing and operating county affiliates.
Generally available to assist with any question or concern and identifying best process to resolve.
