March Report
« on: March 16, 2022, 02:30:50 PM »
Affiliation paperwork filed March 8th.
Onboarded 2 new members to LPVC EC who are ready to take on active roles.
Passed a new committee to focus on Volusia family friendly events and to include acts of voluntaryism for local parents a few times a year as part of our outreach campaign.
Passed motion to also collect petitions for Allison Kelly for state house.
Joe Hannoush proposes to do a petition drive to ramp up signatures for his campaign, other candidates in the state and any initiatives that we have currently. We will be seeking suggestions from the LPF of what those incentives should be. My suggestion is to reward the affiliate with funding a quality speaker to come talk about running for office, or a topic of the affiliates choice. To either be fully funded by the LPF, or matched funds from the winning affiliate or fundraiser for the affiliate. He would love to get 2 of these done by his May deadline to file for office.
Soon to be operational Volusia Discord for liberty minded individuals to submit events, ideas and talk about issues.
Events in March to include- crash Bike week, hosted By Isabel Sam and her group of activists.
Milkshake Monday- 3rd Monday of the month, our regular social
Port Orange Spring Fest- last weekend of the month
Family Playdate at Magnolia Ave Park- date TBD open invite to moms of young children not of school age to come and talk to other moms while kids play on a small and mostly closed off playground with a lake and dock.
