This term we’ve made lots of progress towards our goals for the term, and even completed most of them. We were able to complete and adopt the Communications and IT Policy Manual early this year. This is key to ensuring our messaging, access to party assets, and branding are all on point. We were also able to implement SMS messaging to support events, fundraising, and candidates; along with getting the LPF Facebook Page verified to run political ads.
Having the page verified and able to run Facebook ads allowed us to run Convention ads and generate 7 Convention registrations at an average cost of $37 per registration and generate $700+ with a media spend of $264. Moving forward, we could leverage this for our candidates as well, and generate buzz for their campaigns, or even potentially running fundraising ads.
The largest project we overtook this term was to pull our site away from National and CiviCRM. The Executive Committee passed our motion to migrate to the NationBuilder platform which has taken the bulk of our time this last quarter. However, we’ve been able to implement the CRM, build out the base of the new LPF website, build out several candidate websites, build out a ticketing system for future fundraising events, and began building out affiliate websites on the platform almost fully.
Lastly, we revived the Quill newsletter, and are in the process of getting our subscribers list ready to roll that out monthly on the new platform again. This term has been busy but challenging with the small number of volunteers we had and our members, and we look forward to more volunteers in the upcoming term and accomplishing even more.
