Report of the LPF Rules Committee

The Rules Committee worked extensively this month to produce the Rules packet for convention. The packet was published 7 hours before deadline, and comprises ten motions in 16 pages. Some are significant, but all are considered unanimously beneficial by the committee. The packet reflects the complete work of the committee except one proposed amendment defining the selection and duties of a Deputy Treasurer.
The Committee overlooked this motion when assembling the packet despite its passing unanimously. Since it failed to be published with required notice, it may not be heard.
Some elements of the motion may be achievable with secondary motions within scope of published motions. The committee will consider this possibility in the time before the annual business meeting. The committee may also take up recommendations on the Standing Rules, and may offer analyses and opinions on floor motions.
