The LPF Rules Committee conducted its regular meeting on May 11, 2022 at EST 6:30pm in the LPF Discord Meeting Room 1.

Business Conducted
Constitution and bylaws reconciliation
Bylaws and Constitution reconciliation completed during prior month. Marked up versions were reviewed line by line
Bylaws grammar issue found in 10.3
Greg made motion 2022-R-001: Motion to Recommend to Reconciled Constitution and Bylaws
Ed made a motion to divide the motion between Constitution and Bylaws and was accepted by the Chair
The motion language will remain the same substitution “Constitution” and “Bylaws” as appropriate

Greg made motion 2022-R-002: Motion to Strike Out Standing Rules Article VII
Unanimously passed
Omar made a suggestion that we consider adding to the bylaws a section that empowers the LPF Secretary to make discretionary decisions on section numbering and titling if not specified in the approved amendment OR specifies a review and approval process
Sample affiliate county constitution was completed by Omar during prior month. No review during meeting due to time constraints
Greg moved to change timing of future Rules Committee meetings so not to occur the week before the EC meetings.
Schedule
Due to Reno the next meeting will occur on June 1st at 6:30pm
Committee will operate continuously on Discord in between meetings
