Region 14 report - June 19, 2022

Region 14 comprises Miami-Dade (affiliated) and Monroe (unaffiliated) counties.

Using latest available (April 30, 2022) voter registration numbers:

Miami-Dade County
2022/04/30 LPF 2,251 of 1,587,360 electors
2022/03/31 LPF 2,244 of 1,587,230 electors
Compared to 2,244 on 3/31, this represents a 0.00% increase.

Monroe County
LPF voter data:
2022/04/30 255 of 64,591 electors (net -2)
2022/03/31 257 of 64,338 electors
Compared to 257 on 3/31, this represents a 0.00% decrease.

Activities:

Continued to serve as Chairman of the Miami-Dade affiliate (LPMD).
Presided over the LPMD meeting on June 14, 2022.  Attendance was robust, but down from the previous month.
Completed the transfer of officer email accounts to the new officers, and social media control to members of its new communications committee.
Announced action competing with City of Miami's 'Guns for Ukraine' 'buyback'.  The announcement was well-received.
Mr. Hector C. Roos announced his intention to run for Governor.  The announcement was well-received. He has since qualified.

I appreciate Chairman Nekhaila's taking point on the affiliation of Monroe County since he lives there.  While legal and LPF rule issues prevent my support of the affiliation request tonight, I hope that we can address my issues and any that others might have offline so that we can approve the affiliation unanimously at a future LPF EC meeting.

Regards,
Tony Sellers
