LPMD Meeting, May 14, 2024

Assisting Matt Johnson, chair of Communications to develop onboarding of LPF tasks to new Nationbuilder software.

Continued to follow up with Candidate Leads who needed direct in qualifying for office and onboarding them into county affiliates / region rep.

Preparing an online tutorial series including presentation with worksheets for online distribution and a campaign in a box for future candidates.

Joined an ad hoc group to determine interest on RFK Jr seeking the LP nomination and interest in LP in the same. Determined there is interest all around. Also determined that without RFK Jr as LP nominee, LP would likely place 4th or 5th around the country comparable to 2004 with 15-18 states losing ballot access (or party recognition).

Responsibilities as chair of the LPF affiliate of Miami-Dade County have occupied some of my time. Recruited a new vice chair to the LPMD that is also running for Miami-Dade County Mayor.

Also joined as campaign manager for Feena Bonoan for US Senate and meeting at least once a week.

Worked with fundraising cmte in development of events, end of year giving, corporate sponsorships and email asks for donations.

Worked on coalition building with Florida Cannabis Action Network, Independent Voter Project among others groups and other third parties.

Signed, Hector Roos
