Personally, I have been a contributor promoting Libertarian candidates on WEDU (PBS) in Tampa Bay, and conducting other various interviews on social media programs as well. Over the last two week I have been spending a lot of my time and money helping with cleanup efforts for those who have been negatively impacted by Hurricane Milton. Mike ter Maat and I placed several yard signs as well while he was in Tampa. Additionally, I have been assisting affiliates and candidates across the nation and in other countries as well who are seeking to build a following in order to grow the Libertarian movement.
Libertarians in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk have been discussing combining efforts to form a larger Tampa Bay - or Region 8 - group that operates in a more coordinated manner in order to pool resources and capitalize on those who would like to be involved in counties that are not organized yet into an affiliate or whose affiliate dissolved prior to my becoming Region 8 Rep.
Region 8 Consensus regarding the motions for the October EC meeting:
Motion 842: Region 8 County Affiliates approve of removing Kraus.
Motion 843: Region 8 County Affiliates approve of the membership fundraising motion.
Motion 844: Region 8 County Affiliates strongly disprove of the JFC motion.
Hillsborough:
Our team has been assisting with hurricane cleanup efforts in the Tampa Bay Area. Both Mike ter Maat and Nathaniel Snyder took time away from their campaigns to be involved in helping with relief in the area.
10/6 - We had an LPH EC meeting to discuss the JFC motion that was put forth by Hector for the upcoming LPF EC meeting.
10/17 - We had an LPH EC meeting to discuss sign placement for early voting, to finalize a voter guide, and to discuss Election Day efforts/events.
Pinellas:
October's business meeting was canceled due to the recent hurricanes/storms in the area.
Polk:
I am still working on building connections with the folks who have expressed interest in getting a Polk affiliate up and running to see if we have a team to form an EC.
Pasco:
I have had multiple people reach out and want to be involved from Pasco. At the moment, we do not have a team willing to take up the responsibility of forming a new affiliate. However, I believe this will possibly happen soon after this election cycle is complete.
