2024 December LPF Candidates Committee Report

Feedback Candidate Survey after reaching out to 2024 candidates to report feedback to LPF regarding what additional support they would have received so future candidates can be better supported (copy/pasted per responses):
Question 1: "In what ways did the LPF help support your campaign which you found helpful?"
Responses:
-"Campaign website was a plus."
-"The LPF and affiliates sponsored 3 community events to attended during the campaign that were organized and successful. Joe Hanooush’s addition to both the National social media platform and state platform was a breath of fresh air and a guide for Libertarians to focus on the reason why we exist and remind folks in the comments if they don’t like us or our platform to go back to their R&D masters. Libertarians are an angry bunch with many grievances about the government and are in need of an outlet. Cyber bullying the government is like a two hand touch football game after a family meal, within our limited capacity we will reconcile our grievances, even if only temporarily. Two members of my campaign team were on the LPF EC and although the LPF did not directly monetarily support the campaign, many individual LPF members did which was very helpful."
-"Certain members personally helped with questions and being inexperienced"
-"promotion as well as walking me through filing process"
Question 2: "In what ways could the LPF been more helpful?"
Responses:
-"I saw LPF do fundraising emails for some candidates, but I did not get one for my campaign. Also donor/volunteer list for my area"
-"Tabling material would be a great help so we look professional at all events"
-"I am still salty that my correspondence that was a solicitation to secure the state filing fee was never sent. Also as a former EC member of another state party the EC should always brief about campaigns. At the very least the EC should be aware of how much money we raised, what it was spent on, and where it all came from. At this point, all of that information is public, and the EC can “do their own research” on the FEC website. Could have and should have shared episodes of Campaign Update."
-"Donors and more marketing"
Question 3: "Is there any more feedback you'd like to anonymously give to LPF regarding support of your previous, current or future campaigns?"
Responses:
-"Waiving the Party Assessment Fee helped reduce qualifying cost. Mentions in social media posts and emails"
-"I ran simply for the experience and to know where the LPF weaknesses are that need to be addressed. There are too many to list"
-"This was the best and most fun campaign I’ve ran. From the telethon that raised the filing fee to Election Day everything was organized and ran smoothly because of folks like my campaign manager Hector Roos and treasurer Joe Sckokol here in Florida with returning campaign team members for website and AI William Braddock in Virginia, FEC treasurer Tim Hagan in Vegas, and fundraiser Ken Matas in Chicago. Hindsight is always 20/20, and we miss 100% of the shots we don’t take, I am glad and proud to have been a shot taken even if we missed. All content that was created for this campaign is available for repurposing and distributing. We grow and learn from each other, and my biggest pass down of experience as a candidate was don’t waste time or money on political Hob Nobs. The only people that attend are candidates and their campaign teams, who will only vote party lines. The better use of funds would be to table more community events like tabling holiday festivities and single issue events that multiple candidates can attend. This campaign was a homecoming for me back from decades of travel and adventure, and this campaign traveling all over Florida will go down in my book as one of my greatest adventures. Thank you everyone for the support, opportunity, and experience."
