Emergency Motion to Approve LPF Sponsorship of Cannafest Event

Motion:
I move to authorize the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $1,000 from the State Fund to purchase the sponsorship package for Cannafest.
Discussion:
The 2021 Florida Cannabis Festival, also known as "Cannafest," is taking place on November 6-7, 2021 in Mount Dora, Lake County, Florida.
This event is consistent with the party's platform on ending the Federal Drug War and ending Vice Laws generally.
We have anticipated the participation of this event in its approval of Motion No. 694 Motion to Purchase LPF Branded Event Canopy for $748.07.
Although there may be an expectation to approve a sponsorship on the following month's agenda, the delay is significant enough to prompt this move.
Delay may hurt the ability to properly promote and organize support for the event affecting our organization's public reputation.
The timing is critical. The event begins November 6th. Our next meeting is slated for October 17, 2021.
This means that we would be limited to 20 days to put together the tabling kit and recruit volunteers for the table.
Approval of this motion gives us 48 days (28 days more) to plan, organize and promote.
The lowest amount for sponsorship listed is $1,000. The motion authorizes an expenditure "not to exceed $1,000" in case we can negotiate a lower rate.
