At-Large 3 Monthly Report 10/10/21
General notes:
This month the work has focused on oversight of Convention Committee activities. Work also included initial transfer of knowledge to new Region 11 Representative, and coordination with regional reps concerning future events in their regions the LPF may support.
On September 22nd, I provided direction to the Convention Committee on what the ECs expectations are and provided responses to questions about the Audit Committee Recommendations. On September 29th, Chairman Nekhaila and Audit Chair Suzanne Gilmore confirmed my previous direction.
Initiated discussion with Communications Chair to start a discord server for LPF affiliates through which to facilitate a treasurer’s support group.
Initiated discussion with several parties concerning the creation of an Events Coordinator position, to be appointed by the Chair. The purpose of the events coordinator would be to work with affiliates in establishing a target of 1 large public venue each month where the LPF can host a table or support a local affiliates table. The intent is to establish a calendar of reoccurring annual events that the LPF will be able to attend to drive voter registration and fundraising. These events would also serve as campaign stops for candidates. Krystina Baxter of Volusia has expressed a desire to serve the party in this role.
