Title: Motion to Approve a Resolution Endorsing The Tenth Amendment Center
Mover: Hector Roos
Motion: I move to approve a resolution endorsing The Tenth Amendment Center as follows:
Be It Resolved, The Libertarian Party of Florida Endorses The Tenth Amendment Center
Whereas, the Libertarian Party of Florida Platform declares that we "support the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which reserves to the states and their people all powers not expressly delegated to the United States, nor prohibited to the states elsewhere in the Constitution," and
Whereas, the Libertarian Party of Florida Platform declares that we "oppose the expansive interpretation of the interstate commerce clause which practically nullifies the 10th amendment," and
Whereas, The Tenth Amendment Center "Adherence to the Tenth Amendment is the first step towards ensuring liberty in the United States", and “Liberty through decentralization,” and
Whereas, The Tenth Amendment Center is a national think tank in close alignment with the Libertarian Party of Florida Platform, and
Whereas, The Tenth Amendment Center actively monitors and lobbies those issues in the Florida Legislature, and
Whereas, The Tenth Amendment Center is non-partisan organization which will not compromise in support of any political party against the aforementioned plank of the Libertarian Party of Florida Platform, and
Whereas, The Tenth Amendment Center's activities in the state of Florida are of interest to a large proportion of Libertarian Party of Florida members,
Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Libertarian Party of Florida does hereby endorse the The Tenth Amendment Center and will promote their events and activities incidental to our own communications to our members and associates to advance our common goals.
