Volusia had a second 2 day festival event, this time in Port Orange for Family Days which along with vendors, carnival games and food trucks also hosted a number of political booths. The foot traffic was similar our last event and we were able to match the number of signatures collected for Joe Hannoush for US Congress.
Joe is working constantly to collect more than enough signatures to qualify and is interested in getting out into the public at more of these large events, and to ask any other affiliates in the state who are doing events who may not already have a candidate to petition for to print out some of his petitions and help if they are willing!
I was personally able to attend most of the second day of this event.
I have made contact with a few people running for school board positions as well as the local PAC Volusia Parents For Freedom. The Chair has expressed interest in having Joe come to an event as a speaker in the future.

Personal:
I have been able to attend most of the meetings for all of the committees that I am a part of and have the following updates in their regards:
Comms- Twitter- Changing the message of the types of Tweets I personally would like to be creating into more informative Tweets about the state party and topics LPN covers. Covered the latest info from the 100@25 and am working with Ms. Slafter to produce more content related to fundraising. I would encourage other committees to send me Twitter content related to them and original memes and images we are able to put the LPF branding logo on.
Writing- I recently did an interview with members of Duval County about their efforts and will be doing a highlight piece on Eric Parker running for Jacksonville City Council and his fundraising and awareness participation in the Stop Solider Suicide 50 Mile Ruck Challenge.
Social Media Guidelines- I have reviewed previous efforts from LPF for SM and also looked into other SM TOS docs for other places and written some ideas. awaiting to set a meeting with Tony Sellers to accomplish this.
Convention- Theme Contest- As soon as the Page is ready to go live we will be able to come up with our ideas for what we want those themes to be. Otherwise keeping up with updates on new proposals.
Vendors- I am collecting every small business vendor in my areas business card as I attend various festivals. Depending on where we settle on for a location I would like to send out feeler emails to see if any local vendors will want to travel to do our event. I met with one of the few Reps for Usborne Books in Florida and if we have a child friendly area a book vendor may make some good sales.
Membership- I was not able to attend this months meeting but I working on a spreadsheet of points of contact for various Liberty People and another for those that are just in Florida. My goal is to reach out to them to engage about podcast opportunities for candidates, hosting training sessions, speakers, and special events; and offer these things up to the affiliates to plan first and assist the LPF in setting up events that need more outsourced help or are smaller affiliates who don't have the man power. This effort also extends to things like gun shows, social gatherings, and in person speakers.
Other- spoke with John Thompson about the need for an Events Coordinator for the LPF to assist affiliates to host larger events and to help host events with smaller affiliates or in unaffiliated areas. This is something that I feel LPF needs in order to host more events around the state and to create interest among libertarians who live out of the immediate area to come out and help or attend.
RONR- Spoke to Greg Peele abput doing a discussion on Robert's Rules for both the EC and the LPF members to be open to attend.
Fundraising- Spoke to Hector Russo on how to best implement a "Shop" Button on the LPF website.
