Brevard County:
Monies Raised – Recurring donations/new donors

-first quarter we raised $2,036.62. We actually raised more money than the Republican Party of Brevard who only raised $1,358.98. However the Democrats raised $29,293.62
3.    Meeting Attendance – Up/down

-meeting attendance has increased in March over February, hopefully April will be even bigger.

4.    City/County Meetings Attend – Motion made/Spoke on a subject?
-Motion accepted. In quarter 1 Brevard County commission accepted the Libertarian Party of Brevard’s proposal to send a letter to the FDEP requesting a public hearing for a wastewater notice. The DEP did oblige, and that meeting is schedule for April 25, 4-7 pm in Cape Canaveral. This event led the LPBC to be on the 5pm news on Spectrum News 13.
-Most recently the Libertarian noise put a hold on Titusville spending $55k on “artificial plants”.
-The vice chair spoke out on a proposal to jail panhandlers and firefighters collecting for charity at redlights. (which worked. That law seems to have bailed.)
-The Director at Large and member Rick Heffelfinger have both been following the advisory boards who are misusing tax payer funds and challenging transparency issues. Most noted yesterday, 15 people filled out financial disclosures for the public that were not previously filled out due to their pressure. Up to and including working with lawyers to address concerns.
5.    Events – Past/Future
-As of 04/15/2022 the LPBC was invited to the first Tri-partisan campaign event for North Brevard. Our candidates will be speaking at an event alongside Republicans, Democrats, and a few NPAs.
-We had Hemp4Water come out to our meeting to do a presentation and The City of Titusville Public Works has agreed to hear a presentation from Steve Edmonds to see how we can utilize hemp for stormwater pollutant reduction. This is an ongoing situation.
