LPF Rules Committee held our regular meeting on Wednesday, July 27.
Attendance: Greg Peele (Chair), Omar Recuero (Vice-Chair), Matt Horvath (Secretary), Ed Appler (ex-oficio), Josh Hlavka (ex-oficio)
We considered Motion 774 as referred from the Executive Committee.

I move that the motion be returned the Executive Committee being found lawful and in order with the LPF governing documents as documented in

LPF Rules Committee held a special working meeting on Wednesday, August 10..
Attendance: Greg Peele (Chair), Omar Recuero (Vice-Chair), Matt Horvath (Secretary)
We worked on reviewing and wordsmithing the sample affiliate constitution and bylaws as referred by the Affiliate Support Committee.
We received invites to the LPF Basecamp to provision our documentation. We will follow up on this next month.
We also established a planned timeline for completing the 2023 ABM Rules Report:
- September 14 - initiate work on rules report
- January 25 - freeze scope of rules report; no new motions after this point
- February 22 - approve draft Rules Report for public notice
- March 20 - incorporate public comment, final public notice hard deadline
Finally, we remind the LPF Executive Committee that the 2022 reconciled Constitution, Bylaws, and latest Standing Rules have been completed and are ready for publication to the LPF website.
Planned Activities
- Complete sample county affiliate constitution and bylaws to return to Affiliate Support
- Continue reviewing recommitted 2022 Rules motions
- Continue review of Standing Rules to identify sections to strike as redundant or unnecessary
- Respond to outstanding LP Broward inquiry
- Respond to any new inquiries from EC, affiliates, and other committees
- Work on setting up Basecamp and provisioning all Rules documents there

- Regular Meetings will occur on fourth Wednesday at 5:30pm on Discord
- Working Meetings will occur on second Wednesday at 5:30pm on Discord
- Committee will operate continuously on Discord in between meetings
