Region 7 Representative August Report

Volusia:
*Elected the deputy Treasurer Kyle Baker as the new Treasurer as the previous one has moved out of the county. Encouraged them to connect with their new representatives in Lake county.
*Tabled the Deland Gun and Knife show, which I attended and tabled for one of the 2 days. Petitions for Joe Hannoush for US Congress were also collected. While the event was not overwhelmingly attended we were still able to connect with people and give Joe a chance to talk to locals about their top issues they would like to see improved at the federal level.
*Joe Hannoush has been out several times a week at local establishments talking to the public and collecting petitions. He is trying to get as many as possible to be ahead of the game if there is another “shutdown” and people are not out and about in the coming weeks. He was also invited to speak and attend a few public events in the county.
*Has 2 events planned for the month of September: The Ormond Beach Celtic Festival and Port Orange Family Days, both of which typically have a high attendance rate and are 2 day events.
*On September 11th the table at the Celtic Festival will also feature signs promoting the “End The Damn Wars” campaign to bring awareness to the Libertarian Party’s anti war stance and the event(s) held in Washington DC and several other locations nationwide.
*A possible bowling social is in the works for the month of October in West Volusia. The invitation is open for anyone to attend. Date, time, and location TBD.
Unaffiliated Flagler and Putnam
*Received Voter records for both counties, with addresses provided mapping out where there is the best area to target the first location to table at a local event in the coming months.
*Regularly checking updates on local events to target.
*Discussion on a possible social event at a local sandwich shop to send registered LP voters an invite to discuss liberty and how they can get involved with the party locally.
Representative duties
*Gained access to the CRM and have logged on several times to learn the system.
*Reviewed data on new listings and have begun comparing voter rolls data to CRM data.
*Set up Mail chimp and began creating a template for future blast emails.
*Facebook posting on county pages
Future goals and update
*Discussed a Biketoberfest event with Volusia and determined a social event might be the best route. Considering options on locations
*Continue to compile list of libertarians to target in email blast regarding LPF membership before the deadline for delegates to Reno in 2022.
