Platform Committee is vacant other than the Chair (John Thompson). No activity for Florida Platform is reported at this time. John Thompson has been serving as the National Platform Committee representative of Florida. John was elected the Secretary of the National Platform Committee. These meeting have been on Tuesday nights in March, April and the first two weeks of May. The National Platform Committee work has been substantially completed. A meeting is to be held Thursday May 23rd in D.C. at the site of the National Convention. This is to finalize the last minutes of the meeting activities and conclude our activity for the year. Because of the changing schedule of activities at the National Convention, the National Platform Committee Report may not be heard by the delegates due to time constraints. There are 15 platform proposals being presented to the convention if the committee report remains on the schedule.
