Report of the LPF Rules Committee
August 15, 2021
The Rules Committee officially convened for this term on August 6th, to meet continuously in the committee Discord channel.
The committee elected Mr. Rose as its Vice-Chair.
The committee received, debated, and responded to several questions from Executive Committee members regarding motions for Executive Committee meetings.
The committee expected a motion to be committed by the EC from its previous meeting. The meeting was adjourned before the motion was made, so it was not formally committed. The committee provided informal analysis for the mover.
The committee also received a request for interpretation on the LPF Bylaws regarding to the Affiliate Support Committee; consensus was reached on this interpretation and the details communicated to the LPF Vice-Chair. The committee chairman has replied separately with the sense of the committee..
We will begin reconciliation of the Standing Rules on Monday, 8/16/2021. We will consider technical and conforming changes during this, and future reconciliation processes as authorized by the membership at the recent annual business meeting.
The committee hopes to deliver to the Executive Committee a completed reconciliation of LPF Standing Rules in the very near future.
